Sound engineer
House mix, miking and lights for live events.
I look after the audio for concerts and events: get-in, miking, soundcheck, house mix. I come from the stage, and that helps: I know what the people up there need.
I have engineered for a lot of bands and a lot of events, of very different sizes. Every night teaches you something.
What I work with
- Midas MR18 digital console
- Microphones for every instrument, from drums to horns
- Yamaha DXR15 and DXS15 system: two tops and two subs
- House mix and stage monitor management
- A soundcheck done together with the band
Lighting too
I operate lights on ChamSys. I do not own a lighting rig: if the production company brings one, I make it work and I take on the lighting design for the night.
