I have played live since 2006: over 100 shows a year, between tours, single dates and dep gigs.
When you call me there is not much you need to know. I turn up with the repertoire already learned, with my own setup, and with my head on the show. The rest we sort out together before we go on.
How I work
Tours and single dates, in Italy and abroad
Repertoire prepared on my own, before the first rehearsal
Sheet music and chart reading
Click and backing tracks (QLab, Ableton, Reaper)
My own setup, or I adapt to whatever is on stage
Times, fee and changes of plan: we talk about them beforehand
Last-minute dep gigs
Your drummer drops out three days before the show? It happens, and it gets sorted. Send me the recordings: I learn the set, we rehearse once if there is time, and that evening we play.
Short notice: ask me, then we will see
Set learned from your own recordings
One rehearsal before the show, when possible
Technical trouble on stage: it happens to everyone, it gets handled
What I need from you
Dates, place and times, even roughly
Setlist with reference recordings
What is already on stage: backline, PA, who does what
